The Piqua boys bowling team beat West Carrolton 2,183-1,769 Wednesday at Brel-Aire Lanes.
Travis Smith led the Indians with games of 255 and 234 (489) beating his own school record by one pin. Mitch Havenar had games of 151 and 245. Dakota Mowery had a 204. Kyle Ingle had games of 193 and 169. During the Baker games the boys struggled with splits with games of 139 and 145.
On Tuesday, the boys traveled to Middletown for the Holiday Tournament at Eastern Lanes.
The varsity boys finished 12th.
Travis Smith had a 638 series (214,231,193) and Austin Jenkins had a 624 series (188, 200,236). Mitch Havenar added a 594 sseries (168,201,225). The boys bowled well during the baker games 201, 205, 239, 172, 211 and 173.
The JV boys finished second. Shane Kerrigan and Steven Curl made the JV all-tournament first team.
Ethan Gevedon made the all-tournament second team. Kerrigan had games of 201, 171 and 170 (542), Curl had games of 139, 228, 173 (540) and Gevedon had games of 164, 179, 146 (489).
Piqua boys will host Sidney Tuesday at Brel-Aire Lanes.
The Piqua girls lost a match to West Carrollton Wednesday at Brel-Aire Lanes 2,096-1,966.
Rayna Brownlee led Piqua with games of 161 and 200 for a 361 series, while Whitney Biddle had games of 166 and 186 for a 352 series.
Ariel Miller rolled a 180 game, while Kyra Buchanan rolled a 163.
Sarah Ganger rolled a 151 game and Katie Sherman added a 135.
Piqua had baker games of 185 and 178.
