The Edison State women’s basketball team knocked off Wittenberg JVs 79-57 Tuesday to improve to 19-3.
Edison led 20-13, 42-23 and 61-41 at the quarter breaks.
Kailani Broyles had 18 points and four steals, while Riley Culver had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Kaylesha Broyles had 11 points, four assists and three steals, while Jessie Crowell scored 11 points.
Lauren Monnin filled out the stat sheet with 10 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots, while Holly Frey had three assists.
Edison was 34 of 74 from the floor for 46 percent, including five of 14 from 3-point range for 36 percent. The Chargers converted six of 10 free throws for 60 percent.
Wittenberg was 23 of 65 from the floor for 35 percent, including six of 18 from behind the arc for 33 percent. The Lady Tigers made five of six free throws for 83 percent.
Edison won the battle of the boards 43-40 and had 15 turnovers to Wittenberg’s 24.

VERSAILLES — The Versailles boys basketball team lost for just the second time this season Tuesday, falling to GWOC North leader Vandalia-Butler 74-69 in two overtimes.
Justin Ahrens scored 41 points for the Tigers.
Versailles, 17-2, will play at St. Henry Friday night.
PLEASANT HILL — The Miami East boys basketball team defeated Newton 63-27 in CCC action Tuesday.
Parker Heim, Dylan Hahn and Dalton Taynor all scored 11 points for the Vikings, while Treg Jackson led the Indians with nine points.
Miami East hosts Mississinawa Valley Friday, while Newton travels to Covington.
NEW MADISON — The Covington boys baketball team lost to Tri-Village 56-55 in Cross County Conference action Tuesday night.
Zach Parrett led Covngton with 12 points.
Gray Harshbarger and Bradley Wiggins both added 10.
Covington, 4-15 overall and 3-7 in the CCC, will play Newton Friday night.
BRADFORD — The Bradford boys basketball team lost to Twin Valley South 68-52 in CCC action.
Andy Branson scored 21 points for the Railroaders, who play at Tri-County North Friday.
SIDNEY — The Bradford girls basketball team led 28-23 at halftime, before Lehman Catholic rallied for a 59-43 win.
Alanna O’Leary had 15 points, three assists and four steals for Lehman.
The McIvers had a double-double with Rylie scoring 15 points and adding three steals and Brogan scoring 10 points.
Grace Monnin pulled down eight rebounds.
Skipp Miller led Bradford with 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while Emma Canan added nine points.
Bradford plays at Tri-Village Thursday, while Lehman travels to Lima Perry with a 6 p.m. varsity start.
ARCANUM — The Russia girls basketball team topped Arcanum 41-25 in non-conference action.
Russia, 16-5 overall, will host Fort Loramie Thursday.
