After falling behind in the early going, the Edison State men’s basketball team opened a 46-38 hlaftime lead over Cedarville JVs Wednesday night and pulled away for a 102-60 victory, improving to 3-0 on the season.

Jalen Elliott had a big game off the bench for the Chargers.

He scored 26 points, making 11 of 18 shots from the floor — including four of eight from 3-point range.

Zach Ledbetter added 10 points and six rebounds; while Romello Yaqub and Filifing Sissoko scored nine points each.

JaBryel Reed had six rebounds, while Danny Lee Corbett had six rebounds and five assists.

Hadith Tiggs had three assists and three steals and Rodney Richardson dished out four assists.

Edison made 40 of 85 shots from the floor for 47 percent, including 16 of 35 from 3-point range for 46 percent.

The Chargers also converted six nine free throws for 67 percent.

Edison won the battle of the boards 43-39 and had just eight turnovers to Cedarville’s 23.

The Chargers will host OSU-Mansfield at 3 p.m. Saturday
