Tennis players in-the-making

Contributed photo The Piqua tennis team held their kids camp at Pitsenbarger Sports Complex in late July. Camp was an hour long each week on Wednesday, for six weeks. Participants from all over the area then attended a tennis carnival at Schroeder Tennis Center from where they will palyed games and continued working on their skills. Throughout this summer, staff members had the pleasure of coaching children ages anywhere from 4 to 11 years old. The children worked on their forehand stroke, backhand stroke, volley, and overall ball control. With this camp, coaches hope to cultivate in our local youth an interest for this lifelong sport.
