Jennings Constuction was low gross with 28 in the Echo Hills Thursday Industrial League.

The team included Jeff Jennings, Ron Pearson Jr., Ryan Pearson and Derek Jennings.

Tting for second second with 29 were Team Tim Horton’s (Brian Robbins, Doug Harter, Hank Poff, Dave Neal) and Team Atlantis Sportswear (Dave Novotny, Duane Novotny, Kyle Reardon, DJ Novotny).

Taking low net was Team Koverman Staley Dickerson (Craig Rietz, Todd Niswonger, Jeremy Davis, Wayde Davis), while taking second with 20.5 was Team Paul Sherry Chrysler (Travis Karn, Dan Penrod, Luke Karn, Rick Krejci).

Three teams

card 29 at Echo

League play will resume this week in the Wednesday Industrial League at Echo Hills.

In last week’s scramble, three teams shared low gross with 29.

They were Team Mulligan’s Pub (Brian Robbins, Tony Larger, Luke Thoma, Don Larger), Team OddBody’s (Mike Bosse, Doug Harter, JayDee Denson, Skip Murray) and Team Patriot Fence (Casey Lavey, Mike Lavey, Eric Lavey, Andy Hildreth).

Taking low net with 20 was Team Smitty’s Bike Shop (Dave Cox, Andy Cox, Jeff Cox, Mitch Cox), while taking second with 21.5 was Team 3 Bros & The “Law” (Joe Hostetter, Ken Hostetter, Kelly Hostetter, Brian Webster).

Williams cards

96 at Echo

In 18-hole flight play in the Echo Hills Ladies League Tuesday, Judy Williams won the first flight with 96, while Cindy Pearson was second with 109.

Linda Willis won the second flight with 104.

Gail Brandewie was second with 107 and Clara Sowry was third with 113.

Delma Grissom won the third flight with 105.

Rosalie Snipes was second with 113, Renie Huffman took third with 115 and Linnea Thomas took fourth with 120.

Piqua City

golf signups

Signups are going on now for the Piqua City Championship. It is a 36-hole stroke play tournament July 8 and 9.

Opening round will be played at Echo Hills, with final round at Piqua Country Club.

You must be a member of one of the courses or a resident of Piqua.

Different flights are available but you must have a GHIN handicap.

You can sign up now at Echo Hills and cost is $40.

Entry deadline is July 5.

Piqua Chamber

outing set for July

The Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Chamber Golf Classic on July 17 at Piqua Country Club.

The event begins at 11 a.m. with registration, followed by lunch and a noon shotgun start.

Cocktails will be served at 5 p.m. at a cash bar, followed by dinner and awards.

Cost is $150 per golfer or $600 per team.

Proceeds go to support Chamber programs, services and activities.

Blythe event

at Stillwater

WEBSTER — The annual Christmas in July golf outing honoring the memory of Staci Jo Blythe will be held July 22 at Stillwater Valley Golf Club.

This fundraiser has helped over 1,000 children. Last year, it benefitted 125 children locally as well as an unknown number at of kids at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus who receive treatment at The James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State Unviversity where Staci was also treated.

The outing will be a four-person scramble with a Peoria Handicap System and prizes will be given for first place gross score, first place net score and proximity awards.

A meal will be provided.

Cost is $25 for employees/cart pass, $35 for Stillwater members, $40 for Stillwater Trail Pass or Stillwater W.D. Members and $60 for Stillwater guests.

Hole sponsorships are available for $50, mulligans are $20 per team and there will be a 50/50 raffle.

Deadline for entry is July 18.

Piqua girls

holding scramble

The Piqua girls basketball team will be holding its annual golf scramble out at Echo Hills.

This year’s event will be held July 15.

Registration begins at 7 a.m., with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

Cost of the event is $60 and entry fee includes entry into all events, 18 holes of golf, riding cart, lunch and various awards.

There will be putting challenges, longest drive and closest to the pin challenges, 50-50 raffle, cash awards and giveaways.

Dixon Golf will be on hand for huge prizes for a hole-in-one.
