Baumeister, Robbins card 37s at Echo Hills


Brett Baumeister and Brian Robbins were low gross with 37 in the Wednesday Industrial League at Echo Hills.

Mike Lavey was third with 39.

Brian “Big Daddy” Webster and Luke Thoma shared low net honors with 32, while Kelly Hostetter was third with 33.

Light camp

set for June

GREENVILLE – Registration is open for the 24th annual Matt Light All Conference Football Camp, a free camp for 8 to 14 year olds from any school.

The camp is scheduled for June 12 and 13 at Harmon Field in Greenville. The registration deadline is 6 p.m. June 5.

Camp will begin at 9 a.m. on June 12 and continue through 2 p.m. On June 13 the camp will start at 9:30 a.m. and continue through 2 p.m.

Campers will be placed into groups based on their ages and positions. On offense they can choose line, receiver, quarterback or running back and on defense they can choose line, linebacker or defensive back.

Campers will be instructed by high school coaches and will learn the same techniques and fundamentals the coaches teach to their teams. Campers also will learn about pride, discipline, attitude and team play.

Brochures for the Matt Light All Conference Football Camp can be picked up and dropped off at Buckeye Beverage Drive Thru at 647 Wagner Ave. in Greenville.

Piqua holding

girls hoop camp

There will be a Piqua girls basketball camp from May 31 to June 2.

A camp for grades K-4 will be held from 9-10:30 a.m. at Washington Primary school, while camp for grades 5-8 will be from noon-2 p.m. at Piqua High School.

Instruction will be provided by Piqua coaching staff, with t-shirts for all campers and and contests and awards, along with daily competitive games.

Cost is $20 and the deadline to register and be guaranteed a shirt is May 26.

Same-day registration begins 30 minutes before camp on May 31.
