Tax cuts will raise deficit

To the Editor:

As I have predicted, deficits in the tax proposal are to be paid by cutting excesses or raiding the entitlements programs starting with Medicare and working their way through the rest of the entitlements program to pay for the tax cuts for the upper 1 percent.

This gives them the excuse to raid the entitlements to pay for the tax cuts that they irrepressibly proposed in the tax bill.

Rep. Paul Ryan’s alleged reputation as a fiscal tax guru is all make-believe.

Tax cuts do not pay for themselves, and if passed as written, will add $1 trillion to the deficit.
