To the Editor:
Fields of Grace Worship Center would like to thank everyone who attended the seventh annual Community Easter Egg Hunt held on April 8 at the Covington Park.
There were 1,300-plus in attendance at this year’s event.
Thank you to the village of Covington for the use of the community park, Roger Finfrock for allowing us to park vehicles on Finfrock Constuction grounds, we were able to park 100-plus cars there, and to the Covington EMS for just showing up to be there.
A special thank you also to the residents of Covington Care Center, Heartland of Piqua, Brookdale Assisted Living, Garbry Ridge Assisted Living, Piqua Manor, and Covington High School FFA and FCCLA clubs for stuffing 13,000 eggs for the church. There were a total of 26,500 eggs hunted this year.
And to the church for donations of money to purchase 12 bikes, 20 baskets, eggs, and candy.
Thank you also to the Scott Family McDonald’s for the donation of a bike, four baskets, and for six children a free Happy Meal per week for a year prize.
And to the 30 plus volunteers who came out early on a cold, snowy Saturday morning to prepare for the day’s events we thank you!
