4-H junior sale checks coming soon

MIAMI COUNTY — Some 4-H members are concerned following a delay in receiving their checks for the livestock and animals they sold after this year’s county fair.But, the Miami County Fair Board is assuring that this is a problem that has been solved and soon to be rectified.After the county fair ends in August, 4-H members sell their animals and get checks to buy new animals or livestock to raise for the next year’s fair. The checks can range from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, depending on the animal, and typically comes out in September.According to Miami County Fair Board President Mike Jess, this year’s tardiness came because of a delay in getting bills paid.
