To the Editor:
With the recent flood here in Piqua and all along the Great Miami River, there’s been lots of damage and property loss. In my opinion, all this could and should been a thing of the past. The levees that have been bought and torn down must be replaced and perhaps be built higher. Too, the Great Miami River and creeks should be drudged, thus making more room for the water. The material drudged from the creeks and river could be used to repair the levees, which would cut costs.
True this project will cost money, but perhaps there’s a grant gotten to help with this expense. This project will take time to complete but will be worth the effort.
