Springcreek Elementary School hosted a mother/son-father/daughter dance on Friday as a fund-raiser for the upcoming Piqua Art Council’s Dancing With the Piqua Stars. Students learned basic dance steps as well as some “fun” dances, such as the Chicken Dance. Springcreek principal Teresa Anderson, who is participating in Dancing With the Piqua Stars this season, debuted her dance, along with her pro partner Mark Jones. The event raised $587 for the Piqua Arts Council.
