Ken and Judy Owen of Piqua announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine M. Owen, to Matthew S. Haldeman, son of Dr. Mark and the Rev. Mary Haldeman of Piqua.
The bride-elect, who graduated with honors from Indiana Wesleyan University this past December, was employed in 2014 as an intake specialist at New Creation Counseling Center, Ginghamsburg. She will begin work on her master’s degree in clinical counseling at Clemson University, Clemson, S.C., in August.
The prospective groom, valedictorian of the Piqua High School class of 2003 and the Ohio Northern University class of 2007, is a graduate of The Ohio State University School of Medicine. He has completed his residency at Self Regional Hospital, Greenwood, S.C. , where he has accepted a position on a medical team, effective this August.
The couple will exchange vows July 19 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jon Ferguson officiating.
