Feb. 14

CRIMINAL DAMAGING: A resident in the 4900 block of State Route 721, Potsdam, stated sometime over the last evening, someone had painted an obscene picture on her porch.

OVERDOSE: A deputy responded to the2400 block of Dayton-Brandt Road, New Carlisle, in reference to an assist squad call. The caller advised a male has overdosed on heroin and she is doing CPR on him. The male was revived and transported to the hospital by medics

K9 DETAIL: The K9 Bear did a drug sweep at the Bethel Middle and High Schools at the request of the district.

Feb. 15

THEFT: A report of theft was reported in the 500 block of Liberty Street, Bradford.

OVERDOSE: A deputy was dispatched to the 1500 block of Troy Sidney Road, Troy, on a possible overdose of a 31 year old female not breathing in the back yard.

SCHOOL INCIDENT: A fight between two students was reported at Milton-Union schools. Later that day, a school officials advised the SRO of possible drugs being placed in the ceiling of the girls locker room. After searching the locker room a bag of marijuana was found in the ceiling. A student was charged in the matter with drug possession.

Feb. 21

OVERDOSE: A deputy responded to the 10000 block of N. County Road 25-A, Springcreek Twp. at Paris Court Trailer Park, in reference an assist squad call. Dispatch advised a male in the residence had overdosed and was not breathing. When the deputy arrived, he administered Narcan to Shane Skeens and he started breathing and regained his consciousness. Shane was then transported to the Upper Valley Medical Center.

ASSAULT: A deputy responded to the downtown jail reference an assault complaint. Christina Myers was charged with misdemeanor as

THEFT: A report of theft from the Sunoco in Pleasant Hill was reported.

FAILURE TO REPORT:

On Dec. 23, 2016, Michale Little was supposed to have come to the SORN Office for periodic address verification, but he did not show up.

K9 DETAIL: K9 Bear did a narcotics sweep at the Miami County Safety Building.

Feb. 22

ATV ACCIDENT: A deputy responded to a vehicle accident with injuries near Troy Frederick Road and Neal Pearson Road in Monroe Township, Miami County Ohio. Upon arriving on scene, Tipp City Medics were providing aid to a female passenger of an all terrain vehicle (ATV) that had been thrown from the ATV. The male driver was uninjured but the female passenger was transported by care flight to Miami Valley Hospital for her injuries.

Feb. 23

TAX FRAUD: A report of tax fraud was reported by a Bethel Twp. resident.

SCHOOL ISSUE: The SRO investigated an alleged threat a juvenile made at Bradford Schools.

Feb. 24

THEFT: A deputy responded to J and L Wood Company on Lightner Blvd. Tipp City. in reference to several semi trucks being broken into over night.

OVERDOSE: A deputy responded to the 2100 N. County Road 25-A, Troy, on a report of a suspected drug overdose. Upon arrival, a 33 year old male was found unresponsive in the upstairs bedroom. Troy EMS attempted to revive the male with negative results. A female subject was also treated at the scene for a suspected drug overdose and was transported by Troy EMS to UVMC.

SUSPICIOUS: Officers responded to the 10000 block of Augusta Lane, Piqua, on an alarm. Upon arrival they spoke to the homeowner who stated that when he arrived home his back rear garage entry door was open and the audible alarm was going off. There were fresh foot prints along the north side of the home. There was no sign of forced entry and there were no fresh footprints in the garage.

POSSESSION: A deputy responded to Karns Road in Union Twp. in reference a vehicle stuck in the side ditch. At the conclusion of the investigation, the driver was charged with possession of marijuana.

Feb. 25

OVI: A deputy initiated a traffic stop on the listed vehicle in the are of North County 25-A and Farrington Road, Piqua, for a traffic violation. After investigation the registered owner Amy Bell was arrested for OVI, Lanes of Travel, and Speed.

JAIL ISSUE: A deputy was dispatched to the Miami County Jail for an assault complaint. At the conclusion inmate Williams was charged for assaulting inmate Welbaum.

OVERDOSE: A deputy responded with Pleasant Hill EMS to the listed address on an unresponsive male subject.

Matthew Polson was found deceased in his bedroom laying on the floor. The coroner was notified.

EXTRA PATROL: Extra patrol was requested in the area of 8000 block of Tipp-Elizabeth, Elizabeth Twp. at the request of homeowners reporting an unidentified male subject trespassing on their property.

OVERDOSE: A deputy was dispatched to the 3700 block of Burton Road, Lostcreek Twp. on a possible drug overdose.

Dispatch advised a 36 year old male had possibly overdosed and was unresponsive. Troy medics were able to revive the male using Narcan and transported him to Upper Valley Medical Center.

POSSESSION: Deputies responded to a loud complaint in the 300 block of E. Vine St. in the Village of Bradford. Upon arrival several people were observed inside. The homeowner answered the door and an extremely strong odor of marijuana and smoke exited the house. Homeowner was arrested for Obstructing Official Business, and resisting arrest. Another individual was arrested for tampering with evidence and possession of marijuana.

Feb. 26

ARSON: A deputy responded to Hart Cemetery in Elizabeth Township in reference to a possible arson. The deputy observed a the frame of an enclosed 10-12 foot trailer. The trailer was burnt and the deputy was unable to locate any identifiers on it. New Carlisle Fire Department was on scene and stated they believed the fire was set intentionally. The trailer was parked at the front of the entrance of the cemetery. There was a white fence on both sides on the driveway that were melted. No foot prints of tire treads was located due to a fire house being used on scene.

Photographs were taken and Saunder’s responded to tow the trailer to their lot. Miami County Sheriff’s Office Aron Investigator Tim Schreadley was contacted and will be taking over the investigation.

ATV: A deputy was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a suspicious incident. Two Polaris ATV’s were dumped on SR 571 at SR 202 and left in the roadway.

THEFT: A deputy responded to the 300 block of Crestwood Drive, Troy, in reference to a theft of tools, TV and money.

PROPERTY: A deputy was dispatched to the area of Palmer Road near Bellefontaine Rd. in reference to a found safe.

The deputy spoke with the land owner who stated the safe would have been dumped onto his wooded property within the past few days. The deputy located the safe in question at which time it was photographed. The safe’s door was off its hinges. A necklace, ear rings, and a few miscellaneous papers was all that was left. The deputy was able to find the owner of the safe, who resides in Dayton, Ohio. She indicated she would call in to make arrangements to pick up the safe.
