PIQUA - The Piqua Civic Band Presents “A Children’s Concert” The Piqua Civic Band concludes its summer concert season on Saturday at Hance Pavilion under the direction of guest conductor, Mr. Brett Poling. This special concert is presented in conjunction with Piqua’s Kids Activity Day. Selections will include music from Disney’s Frozen, The Syncopated Clock, a chance to sing along with the band, and much more. Bring the entire family out for a morning of music and fun!


Mr. Brett Poling has been a music educator for nineteen years, teaching music and drama at St. Luke School in Beavercreek, Ohio for the past eight. Prior to teaching in Beavercreek, he was the band director for Lima Central Catholic High School and Lima’s three Catholic elementary schools. Mr. Poling graduated magna cum laude from the UD Music Department in 1995 with a Bachelor’s of Music Education. He earned his Masters in Education from Wright State University in 2007. He performs with the Piqua, Troy and Sidney Civic Bands. Brett and his wife, Maryann, reside in Beavercreek, with their children, Ruth, Elizabeth, and Robert.
