SIDNEY — The Rev. Dr. Robert “Bob” Menz, of Sidney, has published his fifth book, “Divine Entreaty: Prayers for Public and Diverse Setting.”
Balboa Press, a division of Hay House Publishing, recently announced the release of the new title. It is available in paperback, hard-cover and as an ebook through Balboa Press, retail bookstores and online retailers.
Menz, who recently retired as director of the Shelby County Chaplaincy Board, is also a retired employee counselor/corporate director of employee assistance from Emerson Climate Technologies.
His previous books have been published by Haworth Press and University Press of America.
“Divine Entreaty” offers inclusive words and attitudes for pluralistic civic gatherings. Menz alludes to the “cultural salad bowl” of the United States and gives examples of inclusive prayers that can be adapted to suit various occasions. Publishers say the book will be a beneficial resource for human resource managers, business leaders, professors and other educators, chaplains and ministers, civic leaders and the general public.
Menz is a fellow in the American Psychotherapy Association, a Certified Employee Assistance Professional, a fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and a board-certified chaplain. He has a private consulting practice and can be reached at email@example.com.
