Student receives his white coat
FINDLAY — Sixty-five students, including Seth Permberton of Troy, at The University of Findlay recently received a crisp white lab coat at the School of Pharmacy’s White Coat Ceremony.
The ceremony signifies the students’ entrance into the third year of the six-year program, which is the first year of professional courses in the School of Pharmacy.
Exhibit on display at BNC
TROY — Enjoy the whimsical art of Charley Harper, Cincinnati’s American Modernist artist best known for his highly stylized wildlife prints through Dec. 13 at Brukner Nature Center.
Hours are Monday-Saturday, 9:0 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 12:30-5 p.m. The exhibit is free with paid admission to the Nature Center (cash or check).
A portion of the sale of the prints throughout the exhibit will support the mission of wildlife conservation.
FFA member of the month named
CASSTOWN — The November 2015 Miami East-MVCTC FFA Member of the Month is Zach Kronenberger. He is the son of Heather and Andy Kronenberger. He is a freshman and first year member of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter.
Kronenberger recently competed in the county, district, and state Urban Soils Career Development Event. At the county contest he was second highest individual. At the district contest he was seventh out of 130 contestants. Zach placed 66th in the state contest. He also participated in Freshman Families, the dodgeball tournament for Children’s Hospital, and State Greenhand Conference. Zach’s Supervised Agricultural Experience program consists of breeding and raising purebred Siberian Huskies.
Every month of the school year the Miami East-MVCTC FFA will select a student to be the FFA Member of the Month. The officer team will nominate one student that has been actively involved in the FFA chapter, school and community activities. If selected, the member will be recognized at the monthly FFA meeting, have their picture displayed in the Miami East Ag Room, and will receive a special accolade in celebration of their accomplishment.
