Davidson announces mobile office hours

MIAMI COUNTY — Congressman Warren Davidson announces mobile office hours to better service constituents in Butler, Preble, Darke, Miami, and Clark counties. A member of Rep. Davidson’s staff will travel to locations in these counties to enhance office availability and accessibility and address any issues or concerns constituents might have.

For additional information, constituents may call the West Chester District Office at (513) 779-5400 or Troy District Office at (937) 339-1524.

The following are dates and locations for Miami County:

9 a.m. — Tipp City Government Center, 260 South Garber Drive, Tipp City

9:45 a.m. — West Milton Municipal Building, 701 S. Miami St., West Milton

10:30 a.m. — Covington Village Hall, 1 S. High St., Covington

11:15 a.m. — Pleasant Hill Village Offices, 8 W. High St., Pleasant Hill

12:15 p.m. — Piqua Municipal Building, 201 W. Water St., Piqua

1:15 p.m. — Casstown Village Center, 101 Center St., Casstown.

UVCC to hold kids’ class

PIQUA — Join the Upper Valley Career Center Early Childhood students for the “Owl for You” class on Monday, Nov. 13, from 6-7 p.m. The class is open to children 3 years old through kindergarten and will be taught by instructors and students of the Career Center Early Childhood Education and Care Program students.

“Little ones in the class will create a lifetime of memories while making this one-of-a-kind keepsake artwork for a special someone for the holidays,” said Beth Royer-DeLong, YWCA program director.

Krites named FFA member of the month

CASSTOWN — The November 2017 Miami East-MVCTC FFA Member of the Month is Maci Krites. She is the daughter of Suzie and Brian Weber and Eric and Jenell Krites. She is a junior and third year member of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter.

Maci recently competed for a National FFA Proficiency Award at the National FFA Convention in the area of Agricultural Mechanics Design and Fabrication. She placed in the Top 4 in the nation based on her Supervised Agricultural Experience program, Maci’s Weld Art. Maci designs and welds a variety of products for customers and markets them through social media and at the local farm markets. Additionally, Maci is the co-chair of her Program of Activities committee that organized an FFA chapter-wide tailgate party prior to a home football game.
