PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports highlights. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: A truck reportedly hit a telephone pole and then left the scene on the 100 block of Garnsey Street on Feb. 5 at 10:50 a.m.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A complainant reported that there were small scratches “all over his car,” according to police reports. It was reported on the 600 block of Brice Avenue on Feb. 5 at 1 p.m.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of a “two adult males threatening to assault another adult male” at Family Dollar on the 600 block of W. High Street on Feb. 5 at 5:50 p.m., according to police reports. Dylan M. Cline, 23, of Concord Township and Julio C. Deleon, 23, of Piqua were cited with minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
There was a report of a male subject fighting with staff at Z’s Food and Spirits on the 300 block of N. Wayne Street on Feb. 6 at 1:46 a.m. The subject was then reportedly refusing to leave. He was trespassed from the property for the night.
A male was reportedly intoxicated and “being verbal with others” at Mulligan’s Pub on the 100 block of W. High Street on Feb. 6 at 11 p.m. Cody T. Malone, 34, of Piqua was cited with minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
DISTURBANCE: An individual was attempting to repossess a vehicle on the 600 block of W. Greene Street when a subject reported jumped in the driver’s seat and refused to get out on Feb. 5.
DRUG POSSESSION: Police responded to a report of “two suspicious people standing next to a garage passing something back and forth” on the 900 block of Clark Avenue on Feb. 5 at 9 p.m., according to police reports. Marijuana was reportedly recovered.
During a traffic stop, a passenger was identified as having a warrant for his arrest. The traffic stop took place in the area of N. County Road 25-A and N. Hetzler Road on Feb. 7 at 1 a.m. A small bag of marijuana was reportedly found on the subject before entering the jail. Dontae L. Wallace, 23, of Piqua was charged with minor misdemeanor possession of marijuana in connection with this incident.
OPEN CONTAINER: A male was stopped during a traffic stop, warned for speed, and cited for having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle on the 400 block of S. Wayne Street on Feb. 5. at 10:28 p.m. Joshua D. Richardson, 27, of Piqua was cited for minor misdemeanor open container in connection with this incident.
BURGLARY: There was a report of an attempted home burglary on the 900 block of Park Avenue on Feb. 6 at 12:17 p.m. Entry was not made to the home, and there were slight damage to the door and doorknob.
SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of a male standing on the sidewalk on the 300 block of E. Water Street yelling at passing cars on Feb. 6 at 5:50 p.m. The male was not located.
OVI: A male was stopped during a traffic stop for a headlights issue on Feb. 6 at 7:37 p.m. The male was subsequently charged with OVI and driving under suspension. James F. Lasater, 40, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI in connection with this incident.
During a traffic stop in the area of E. Ash Street and N. Main Street, a female was stopped for speed and subsequently charged with OVI on Feb. 7 at 2 a.m. Taylor L. Willoughby, 21, of Sidney was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI in connection with this incident.
WARRANT: A woman reported that her boyfriend allegedly choked her and hit her twice in the face at the Terrace Creek Apartments on Feb. 7 at 10:47 a.m. Cameron J. Richard, 22, of Troy was charged with first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence. There is a warrant for Richard’s arrest.
