MIAMI COUNTY ― The Miami County YMCA, Piqua Branch, is currently accepting registrations for several new fitness classes set to start on Jan. 4. The classes being offered are:
• Fitness TRX Warrior: 6:30-7:15 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays; 8:15-9 a.m. Saturdays
Class will be designed to help beginners and challenge the advanced participants. This class will utilize the Warrior Room and the TRX to help you become an overall stronger and healthier person.
Participants will have the choice to meet with a personal trainer outside of class for beginning and ending measurements, BMI and body fat measurements. Nutritional counseling and email support are included for an additional fee.
• Endurance Cycling: 1:30-3 p.m. Sundays
Looking for a challenge on the bike now that it’s too cold to ride outside? Test your endurance during this hour and half long cycling class and push yourself to the limits.
• Mind and Body Saturdays: 9-10 a.m. Saturdays
Classes will alternate between Tabata, Pilates, Core Power Yoga, and BARRE. Schedules will be posted outside the multi-purpose room.
• Spin & Lift: 4:30-5:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
A combination of group cycling and strength training with free weights. Burn calories while you tone muscles!
• Spin & Core: 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
Combine the cardio benefits of a cycling class with core exercises done off the bike to help develop strong abdominal and back muscles. Cycling will last 45 minutes and if you choose to stay, the class will continue on with a 15-minute ending core section.
• Stretch and Core: 6:15-8 a.m. Fridays
This 45-minute class will focus on stretching the body while adding some toning moves to strengthen the core. A great class to finish out the week!
