PIQUA — Meet with area artist Dennis Walker to create your own hand-blown glass Christmas ornament. The class, which is limited in space, will be on Wednesday, Dec. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at Studio 446, located at 446 Weber St., Piqua.

“Each participant will have individualized help in creating this delicate sphere from molten glass,” said Beth Royer-DeLong, YWCA program director. “Individuals will choose their own colors and the completed project will be approximately three to four inches in size.

“Walker is a well-known artist and has had displays for Piqua’s Taste of the Arts and other area events,” she added. “He is amazing in the glass work that he creates and designs. We are so fortunate to be able to offer this class to community members.”

Registration and paying of fees must be done by Wednesday, Nov. 29, to ensure a place in the class. For more information or to register, stop at the YWCA at 418 N. Wayne St., Piqua, or call 773-6626.
