PIQUA – Four Piqua residents were among 2,500 veterans to receive care packages donated by TCC stores across the U.S. as part of the company’s inaugural Veterans Rock campaign.

In October, residents were urged to visit select TCC locations to nominate veterans to receive care packages valued at $40 each and filled with books, puzzles, hygiene products, and other items.

The local veterans chosen by visitors to the TCC store in Piqua, located at 1204 E. Ash St., are Bud Hornbeck, Carroll Turner, Maxwell Reese and Justin Hall.

The recipients were notified by or before Nov. 3, and picked up their care packages between Nov. 6-10, just in time for Veterans Day on Nov. 11.

“This new initiative is just a small token of our appreciation and gratitude for those who have served, and we look forward to putting a smile on their faces,” said said Scott Moorehead, CEO of Round Room, the parent company of TCC.
