PIQUA — Girl Scouts from Springcreek and Favorite Hill elementary schools were among 50 northwest Ohio girls who recently attended the “Staying Fit” badge day at Medical Mutual of Ohio in Toledo.

The fourth and fifth grade students participated in four different sessions that helped them learn about exercise and staying fit, healthy eating and how to reduce stress. They also got to meet a nurse and receive health tips for girls their age.

Upon completion of the four sessions, the girls were presented with their staying fit badges. The event was sponsored by Medical Mutual in conjunction with the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio.
