PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

ASSAULT: A female juvenile offender, 15, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor assault on Oct. 25. She was charged in connection with a report of one juvenile female assaulting another at the Piqua High School on Oct. 25 at approximately 11 a.m. The parents were notified, and the juvenile was charged.

DRUGS: There was a complaint of drug paraphernalia found outside a business on West Greene Street on Oct. 25 at 11:15 a.m. An officer responded and located a hypodermic needle. The needle was collected and disposed of appropriately.

Drug paraphernalia was also located in the parking lot of a business on South Street on Oct. 25 at approximately noon. It was collected and disposed of.

THEFT: An air compressor was reported stolen on Second Street on Oct. 25. It went missing sometime within the last two months.

ACCIDENT: A traffic crash was reported on West North Street on Oct. 25 at 5 p.m. No injuries were reported.

A vehicle was struck by another vehicle while parked on the side of the road on Camaro Court on Oct. 26 at 10:25 a.m. Suspect driver provided information for the victim; however, the victim is out of town. The investigation is ongoing.

An officer was dispatched to a traffic accident with no injuries in reference to a vehicle striking another while exiting a private property driveway at the Piqua Manor Nursing Home on Oct. 26 at 7:20 p.m.

There was a report of a non-injury accident in the area of Hemm Road and South Main Street on Oct. 27 at approximately 1:45 a.m. A van struck a deer.

BURGLARY: A residence was reportedly broken into on East Parkway Drive sometime between Oct. 23-25.

A local business on East Ash Street reported a rock being thrown through the glass door and cash taken from the register sometime overnight between Oct. 25-26.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A complainant’s house deck was reportedly damaged on Oct. 25 sometime between 9-9:15 p.m.

UNDERAGE OFFENSE: Skyler K. Snyder, 20, of Greenville, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor underage possession/consumption on Oct. 26.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Two male juvenile offenders, 15, were cited for fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct on Oct. 26. They were charged in connection a reported fight at the Piqua High School on Oct. 26 at 12:30 p.m.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT: A dog reportedly attacked another dog, causing some injury, on Oct. 26 at approximately 5 p.m.

MENACING: A complainant reported that a known suspect attempted to choke him and threatened to harm him at the Colonial Terrace Apartments on Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. The suspect was charged and issued a court summons. Jamie M. Willis, 40, of Piqua, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor menacing in connection with this incident.

UNAUTHORIZED USE: Matthew R. Cartonia, 32, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on Oct. 26. Cartonia was charged in connection with a report of a vehicle being taken from the CVS parking lot on North College Street on Aug. 28. Cartonia was arraigned Oct. 30 in Miami County Municipal Court. He is continuing to be held at the Miami County Jail on bond and other unrelated charges.
