PIQUA — The Miami County Sheriff’s Office executed multiple search warrants at properties located in Piqua on Thursday, resulting in arrests for three people for drug trafficking and receiving stolen property.

The sheriff’s office executed search warrants and served arrest warrants regarding the distribution of crack cocaine at 902 Briarcliff, 1703 Cambridge, 8600 Looney Road, and Supreme Auto Sales, 8481 North County Road 25-A. Deputies seized crack cocaine, firearms, United States currency, and a large amount of stolen property, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.

“We’re still tracing a lot of the stolen property,” Chief Deputy Steve Lord of the sheriff’s office said. Lord explained that the items appear to be from box chain stores from businesses in multiple counties.

Those arrested include:

• Kendrick D. Watkins, 41, of Piqua, was charged with fifth-degree felony trafficking in cocaine. Watkins was arraigned in Miami County Municipal Court on Friday.

Watkins also faces a charge of fifth-degree felony possession of drugs. He is currently incarcerated at the Miami County Jail on $10,000 bond.

• Lorenzo L. Aaron, 41, of Piqua, was charged with fifth-degree felony trafficking in cocaine. Aaron was arraigned in Miami County Municipal Court on Friday.

Aaron also faces a charge of fourth-degree felony possession of drugs. He is also currently incarcerated at the jail on $10,000 bond.

• Douglas M. Liette, 41, of Piqua, was charged with fifth-degree felony receiving stolen property. Liette was arraigned in Miami County Municipal Court on Friday before being released on his own recognizance.

“We’re continuing to investigate these persons,” Lord said.

Additional charges may be forthcoming after consultation with the Miami County Prosecutor’s Office. Additional evidence is expected to be presented to a grand jury.
