PIQUA —The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports and from the Piqua Fire Department.

FIRE: A fire was reported on the 300 block of Third Streeton Oct. 10. The Piqua Fire Department responded at approximately 4:45 p.m. to the location in the Shawnee Neighborhood where a detached garage was on fire. The department estimated approximately $15,000 worth of damage took place during the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The fire is currently being considered suspicious at this time, according to the Piqua Fire Department.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Randy S. Clegg, 56, of Piqua, was cited for minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct on Oct. 7. Clegg was charged in connection with a report of a male who was highly intoxicated and falling down while walking. The male was located, and he said he was drinking at a local bar and fell down, which split open his lip. The male was charged with disorderly conduct and released to a sober family member.

SUSPICIOUS: There were two reports of shots being fired, one heard on Young Street and the other heard on Beckert Drive, both on Oct. 6 at approximately 11:30 p.m. The noise was determined to be fireworks on Young Street and suspected of being fireworks on Beckert Drive. Officers did not locate anyone with a gun or fireworks.

BURGLARY: A resident came home and found a large hole in the drywall of her apartment on Park Avenue on Oct. 6 at approximately 11:20 p.m.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: An officer responded to a report of a vehicle that was criminally damaged on West High Street on Oct. 6 at 11:30 p.m. Damage was done to the interior of the complainant’s vehicle.

THEFT: A female juvenile, 16, was issued a court summons for first-degree misdemeanor theft on Oct. 7. The juvenile was charged in connection with a report of shoplifting occurring at Walmart on Oct. 7 at 11:50 a.m. The juvenile was charged and released to her parents.

A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle on Ann Street overnight between Oct. 6-7.

WARRANT: A warrant was issued for Zakkary J. Collins, 22, of Covington, for first-degree misdemeanor OVI-under the influence.

A warrant was issued for Angela M. Croy, 38, of Wapakoneta, for first-degree misdemeanor theft.

ACCIDENT: There was a traffic accident involving a pedestrian reported on South Sunset Drive and South Street on Oct. 7 at approximately 10:45 a.m.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A vehicle was egged on Brentwood Avenue on Oct. 7 at 11:45 a.m.

DRUG OVERDOSE: An officer was dispatched to an assist squad call in reference to a non-responsive female subject possibly drug overdosed on First Street on Oct. 7 at 3:40 p.m. The female was administered Narcan and then transported by squad to UVMC hospital. Evidence was collected, and the case is currently under investigation.
