Piqua police reports highlights


PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

THEFT: There was a complaint of someone stealing money from Subway on Covington Avenue between Sept. 30 and Oct. 2. Calvin E. Sutton, 55, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.

A theft was reported at Sherwin Williams that took place sometime between Oct. 2-4.

Prescription medication was reported stolen on Vine Street on Oct. 4. at approximately 1:10 p.m.

There was a theft reported at Roses Variety Store on Oct. 4 at 1:30 p.m. A suspected was found. Items were returned to the business.

OVI: Kourtney C. Truax, 26, of Sidney, was charged with OVI on Oct. 2.

UNRULY JUVENILE: An officer responded to a residence in reference to an unruly juvenile complaint on New Street on Oct. 2 at 8:30 a.m. The female juvenile was arrested for a probation violation. The juvenile did not comply and spat all over the cruiser. The juvenile was charged with first-degree misdemeanor aggravated menacing, fourth-degree misdemeanor domestic violence, third-degree misdemeanor criminal mischief, and second-degree misdemeanor resisting arrest. The juvenile was incarcerated in the juvenile detention center.

ACCIDENT: There was a report of a traffic accident in the area of South Street and McKinley Avenue on Oct. 2 at 6:10 p.m. There were no reported injuries.

The was a report of a two-vehicle accident at at the Upper Valley Career Center on Oct. 4 at approximately noon. There were no reported injuries. The at-fault driver was cited.

There was an accident on West Greene Street on Oct. 4 at approximately 3 p.m.

ORDER VIOLATION: Wesley K. Turner, 50, of Piqua, was charged with two counts of first-degree misdemeanor violations of a protection order on Oct. 4.

DRUG OVERDOSE: There was a report of a possible drug overdose on Gordon Street on Oct. 4 at 9:25 p.m. The squad revived the male subject and transported him to UVMC for treatment. Charges are pending lab results from suspected heroin found in the male’s pocket.
