PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: There was a report of hit skip accident on South Main Street on June 23 at approximately 12:15 p.m.
TRESPASSING: A resident reported that a person came on her property and tried to break in her car on West Ash Street sometime between June 14-15.
There was a report of two male subjects causing a problem at the mall and refusing to leave on June 23 at approximately 8 p.m. They were instructed to leave and not return.
A neighbor was warned for trespassing on Janet Drive on June 25 at 1:25 p.m.
MENACING: A caller said her neighbor threatened to knock her out because she would not let him have a chair of hers on North College Street on June 23 at approximately 12:15 p.m.
ACCIDENT: There was a three-vehicle crash in the area of East Ash Street and Scott Drive on June 23 at 1:30 p.m. There were no reported injuries.
There was a traffic crash in the area of West High and North Downing streets on June 23 at approximately 4:40 p.m. There were no reported injuries.
There was a two-vehicle traffic accident on Covington Avenue near Sunset Meat Market on June 23 at approximately 5 p.m. There were no reported injuries.
There was a traffic accident on Covington Avenue near Kroger on June 23 at 9:30 p.m. There were no reported injuries.
There was a three-vehicle accident on Scott Street on June 25 at approximately 7 a.m. Two cars were towed, and there was a possible injury reported. A driver was cited.
BURGLARY: A caller reported seeing an open window at a building on North Main Street on June 23 at 9 p.m. Upon further investigation, a side window was found busted out. The building was checked, and no one was found inside.
A home burglary was reported on Carr Street on June 24 sometime between 6 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. Items were reported stolen.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of domestic dispute on Haverhill Drive on June 24 at midnight. There were no allegations of violence or threats of violence.
There was a report of disturbance on West North Street on June 25 at approximately 1 a.m. A female subject was warned for disorderly conduct.
There was a report of a large crowd of people fighting the parking lot of Z’s Food and Spirits on June 25 at approximately 2:15 a.m. The crowd dispersed before contact could be made with anyone.
There was a report of a domestic dispute on Manier Avenue on June 25 at approximately 5:50 p.m. There were no reports of violence.
There was a report of disturbance on Kitt Street on June 25 at approximately 6 p.m. It was a verbal argument.
ASSIST SQUAD: There was a report of a female subject experiencing medical problems caused by being overly intoxicated on Maryville Lane at the Terrace Creek Apartments on June 24 at 3:50 a.m. She was transported to UVMC for further medical treatment.
DRUG OFFENSE: A syringe was found in the grass near the bike path on Washington Avenue on June 24 at 10:30 a.m. The needle was recovered and destroyed.
A small bag of possible drugs was found in a yard on Clifton Drive on June 25 at 10:30 a.m.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE:There was a report of a vehicle’s headlights painted black and had two scratches put on either side of it on North Main Street sometime between midnight and 5 a.m. on June 23.
UNRULY JUVENILE: Three juveniles were found swimming in the river without any adult supervision on June 24 at 5 p.m. The juveniles were returned to their parents and educated on the dangers of swimming in the river.
SUSPICIOUS: Officers responded to a shots fired complaint on New Haven Road on June 24 at 11:30 p.m. A caller advised it sounded as though someone was shooting a gun nearby. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the source of the noise.
A caller reported hearing four gun shots coming from an unknown location in the area of Walnut Street on June 25 at approximately 4:40 p.m. The area was checked, and no additional shots were heard.
THEFT: A ladder was reported stolen from a residence on Young Street sometime between June 24-25.
