PIQUA — A local man was incarcerated this weekend after being accused of endangering a 1-year-old child.
William Bleything, 40, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor child endangering on Sunday. Bleything was arraigned on that charge Monday morning.
According to Miami County Municipal Court records, Bleything was accused of kicking a 1-year-old boy in the ribs, which then caused the child to hit his head on a toy. The incident reportedly took place on the 500 block of Gordon Street on Sunday at approximately 10 p.m.
The child was examined at the Upper Valley Medical Center, but did not appear to have any injuries other than some noted redness on his head. Bleything denied harming the child.
