MIAMI COUNTY —The Miami County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a suspect they believe to have been involved in a home burglary in Washington Township last week.

The Miami County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Ferris L. Brisco Jr., 21, of Piqua, for second-degree felony burglary. Brisco was arraigned on that charge Monday in Miami County Municipal Court.

The burglary occurred on May 31, during daytime hours on the 5000 block of Piqua-Clayton Road in Washington Township, according to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office. Electronics were reported stolen from the residence.

Miami County Sheriff’s Office deputies previously requested the public’s assistance in identifying the possible residential burglary suspect who was captured on surveillance video last week. The video surveillance revealed the possible suspect to be a black male subject who was driving a silver car, possibly a Buick.

The charges will be presented to the Miami County Prosecutor for further consideration.

Brisco is currently being held at the Miami County Jail on $10,000 bond. A preliminary hearing for Brisco is scheduled for Feb. 13.

Anyone who knows who the suspect is or has any information is asked to call the Miami County Communication Center at (937) 440-9911. Anonymous tips can be left on their website, www.miamicountysheriff.org.
