Quilting classes offered at Hayner

TROY — The Troy-Hayner Cultural Center, 31 W. Main St., will offer quilting classes this summer.

Instructor Catherine Elson is new to the Hayner Center. Her experience with the art of quilt making began when a neighbor shared the gift of quilting with her over 26 years ago. Since, that time quilting has become Elson’s passion. In addition to being a practical skill, quilting promotes creativity and can be a great way to forge friendships. She also teaches quilt making for a local fabric retailer.

Seven quilt making classes, each with a different design, are scheduled this summer. The fee for each class includes everything necessary to complete the project, including the fabric, patterns, and use of a sewing machine during class time.

For complete class listings including fees, class times, and registration information, see www.troyhayner.org.
