For God’s Glory run/walk/ride event planned
BRADFORD — The Bradford Area Association of Churches is sponsoring a new and unique event to the area on May 20, 2017 in Bradford.
You can choose to participate in a 5K run or walk, a 10 mile easy, or a 35 mile intermediate difficulty bicycle tour. All activities will start and finish at the (Depot) 203 E. Main St. The 35 mile tour will start at 8:30 a.m., the 10 mile tour will start at 10 a.m., and the 5K run/walk will have a start time of 10:30 a.m. with registration taking place one hour prior to each event.
The entry fee is $15.00 and two non-perishable or canned food items. All of the gains realized from this event will benefit the Depot, the Manna Food Ministry, and the Resource Center. Please help these non-profit organizations in fulfilling their mission to provide meals and food to our area teens, senior citizens, and families in need.
There will be water/refreshment stops along the routes. Helmets will be required for all bike tour participants.

Afternoon of Praise Concert planned
PIQUA — St. Mary Catholic Church (538 Broadway, Piqua) will be alive with the sound of music when the annual Afternoon of Praise Concert takes place on Sunday, May 21, 3 p.m. Combining the talents of both St. Mary and St. Boniface Parishes, the Adult and Children’s Choirs, the Adult Hand-Bell Choir, and the Children’s Hand-Chime Choir will perform. Also solos will be presented by members of both churches. All are welcome — please come, enjoy, and praise God with us!
Light Readers service planned
MIAMI COUNTY — All are invited to join one of our regular worship services on Sunday, May 28, as we welcome The Light Readers who will present their inspirational skits and songs as our message. It is always a joy to experience their entertaining and meaningful life lessons.
Services will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church, 2050 E. Loy Rd. in Piqua, at 9 a.m. that day and at Casstown United Methodist Church, 102 Center St. in Casstown, at 10:45 a.m.
Register now for Vacation Bible School
PIQUA — St. James Episcopal Church will be hosting Vacation Bible School for children five to 12-years-old. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, June 6,7, and 8 from 6-7:30 p.m. Registration is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon until June 2. All Children are invited to attend.
Fields of Grace Worship Center to host Paul Teutul, Jr.
COVINGTON — On Sunday morning, June 4, Fields of Grace Worship Center in Covington will be hosting Paul Teutul Jr. at their 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services.
This is in conjunction with their Bike Blessing and a ride to follow.
Motorcycle master Paul Teutul Jr. has been molding metal since the age of 12 when he began his apprenticeship at his father’s steel business. He’s widely recognized as the chief designer and fabricator of some of the world’s most famous motorcycles, as featured in the hit television series American Chopper on the Discovery Channel.
Although Paul Jr. started his career as cofounder of Orange County Choppers, after branching off, he now shares his creativity and unique approach to design with the world through his work at Paul Jr. Designs. Founded in 2010, his new company pushes the limits on creativity beyond just motorcycles, where Paul continues to pursue his passion for building the impossible.
