PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Complainant advised that the rear window of his wife’s car had been busted out sometime overnight on Park Avenue between May 4-5.
THEFT: There was a report of a known person stealing money from Cellular on Covington Avenue on May 5 at 11:40 a.m.
An officer was dispatched to a theft complaint in reference of two juveniles taking items from St. Mary Catholic Church on Broadway on May 6 at 5:30 p.m. The items were returned to the church, and the juveniles were trespassed from the property.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: There was a report of a hit skip traffic accident in the area of East Ash and Spring streets on May 5 at approximately 3:10 p.m.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance on East North Street on May 5 at around 3:30 p.m.
A disturbance was reported on Nicklin Avenue on May 5 at 5:40 p.m. Neither party made any claims that physical violence or threats of physical violence occurred.
There was a report of a disturbance on Young Street on May 5 at 7:25 p.m. A vehicle was repossessed from the property.
There was a report of a physical disturbance on East North Street on May 5 at 11:05 p.m. After an investigation was completed, a male subject was arrested for domestic violence.
A disturbance that reportedly occurred a few days prior was reported on May 6 on South Downing Street. A male subject was charged with domestic violence.
There was a report of a disturbance on Caldwell Street on May 6 at 12:45 p.m. A male subject was arrested.
DRUG POSSESSION: An officer conducted a traffic stop on a driver for making a prohibited left turn in the area of Armory Drive and East Ash Street on May 5 at 8:45 p.m. A search was conducted and marijuana and several pieces of drug paraphernalia were reportedly confiscated. The driver was given citations of possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A male juvenile was charged with being in possession of drug paraphernalia on Lincoln Street on May 6 at 2:55 p.m. Juvenile probation was notified.
ACCIDENT: Officers responded to a report of an accident with injuries in the area of Garbry Road and Kienle Drive on May 5 at around 10 p.m. The driver was transported to UVMC by the Piqua Fire Department.
ASSIST SQUAD: Officers dispatched to a possible overdose with the female suspect having a warrant on Fairfax Avenue on May 6 at 5:45 a.m. The female subject was transported to UVMC for treatment and then to the Miami County Jail on the warrant.
