PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
ACCIDENT: There was a traffic accident in the area of West Water and North College streets on May 1 at 11 a.m. There were no reports of injuries. The at-fault driver was cited.
There was a report of a traffic accident with an injury in the area of Looney Road and East Ash Street on May 1 at 3 p.m. The at-fault driver was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
There was a two-vehicle accident on Young Street on May 1 at 8:35 p.m. There were no reported injuries. A driver was cited for failure to yield.
There was a report of a traffic crash on North Main Street on May 2 at 5:40 a.m. A driver was cited.
A driver was cited for improper backing after striking a parked vehicle on First Street on May 2 at 1 p.m. The owner of the parked vehicle was issued a parking ticket for being parked facing the opposite direction of traffic.
THEFT: There was a report of a subject breaking into vehicles inside school parking lot the Piqua High School on May 1 at approximately 2:40 p.m.
A handicapped placard was reported stolen at Kroger on Covington Avenue on May 2 at 2 p.m.
A firearm was reported stolen on Lindsey Street on May 2 between 6 a.m. and 9:20 p.m.
A female subject reportedly pushed out a shopping cart full of merchandise at Kroger while another female subject spoke with an employee on May 2 at 10:15 p.m. The investigation is pending.
UNRULY JUVENILE: There was a report of a juvenile striking another juvenile on West High Street on May 1 at 3:35 p.m. The officer received conflicting stories so no charges will be filed for this incident.
A juvenile was reportedly causing a disturbance at a residence on Broadway Street on May 1 at 11:45 p.m. The juvenile was cited.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of a verbal argument between people at Pizza Hut on Covington Avenue on May 1 at around 8:20 p.m. The subjects were advised to stay away from each other if they couldn’t get along.
Officers responded to a report of a disorderly female outside Z’s Food and Spirits, hitting the windows on May 3 at 12:40 a.m. The area was checked, but the female was gone upon officer arrival.
ASSIST SQUAD: There was an assist squad call in reference to a man lying on the sidewalk in front of a residence on South Main Street on May 2 at approximately 11:35 a.m. The man was taken inside by a family member before contact was made. He refused to provide any information and said that he was fine.
FRAUD: A complainant reported on May 2 that an unknown subject used her identity to obtain numerous credit accounts and failed to pay on those accounts. Complainant was referred to the Social Security Administration as well as the credit reporting agencies.
ASSAULT: A complainant advised that her 11-year-old son was punched in the face by another juvenile while walking home from school in the area of West Greene and North College streets on May 2. The investigation is pending.
MENACING: A subject was approached and threatened by a suspicious male subject in the parking lot of Walmart after the male subject allegedly assaulted another female subject in a parked vehicle on May 2 at 6:30 p.m.
SEX OFFENSE: A rape was reported on Camp Street on May 2 at approximately 7:10 p.m. The investigation is pending.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A large chunk of concrete was reportedly thrown through a resident’s window on South Downing Street on May 2 between 11:30 p.m.
