PIQUA — A single-vehicle crash shut down one lane of traffic on Interstate-75 Thursday morning near County Road 25-A at mile post 84.

A driver reportedly ran out of gas while driving on southbound I-75 and attempted to pull over to the left side of the highway, according to the Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. When the driver did so, she struck the median guide-wire.

The left lane of the highway was then shut down for approximately 20 minutes while the Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol along with a squad responded to the scene. Both lanes of southbound I-75 were shut down for approximately one minute in order to get a wrecker to the damaged vehicle to remove it from the interstate.

The driver of the wrecked vehicle was not injured. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, she refused medical treatment and transportation.
