PIQUA — This week, Certified League Cycling Instructors Jim Hemmert and Paul Sullenberger talked with students at Washington Primary School about how to have fun and be safe while riding bikes, encouraging the children to protect themselves with the correct bicycle gear as well as to obey traffic laws.

In this video, Hemmert and Sullenberger teach students in Holly Peeples’ third grade class about the importance of wearing bright colors and helmets. They also discuss how bicyclists have to obey the same traffic laws as motorists. They then end this session with a tricycle race.
