PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

POSSIBLE DRUG-RELATED DEATH: A man was found unresponsive and later declared deceased after Piqua police and Piqua Fire Department personnel responded to a report of a possible drug overdose at a residence on the 300 block of North Wayne Street on April 12 at approximately 2:45 a.m. The victim was transported to the Miami Valley Regional Crime Lab for an autopsy.

SUSPECTED OVERDOSE: Officers assisted on a squad call after a subject was found unconscious due to a possible overdose on Carr Street on April 10 at 3 p.m. The subject was transported to UVMC for further care.

A man was reportedly found unconscious from an apparent drug overdose on Andover Avenue on April 10 at approximately 6 p.m. He was transported to UVMC.

Officers responded to an assist squad complaint about a male subject passed out in a bathroom on Wilson Avenue on April 10 at approximately 11:20 p.m. Chance M. Ward, 40, of Piqua, was charged with second-degree misdemeanor possession of a drug abuse instrument in connection with this incident.

HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: A hit skip crash was reported at Walmart on April 10 at 7:45 a.m. The suspect vehicle was not located.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Two male subjects were arguing with each other on South Street on April 10 at approximately 10 a.m. One of them was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance on South Street on April 10 at approximately 10:20 a.m.

There was a report of a disturbance on Cleveland Street on April 10 at 2:20 p.m. Both parties claimed they were assaulted. The primary aggressor could not be determined.

Chad D. McLaughlin, 25, of Piqua, was charged with third-degree felony domestic violence in connection with an incident where a victim was allegedly hit in the face, thrown to the ground, and kicked at a residence on Park Avenue on April 11 at approximately 2:30 p.m. McLaughlin is currently being held at the Miami County Jail on $20,000 bond.

THEFT: A television was reported stolen on North College Street on April 10 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The investigation is pending.

ACCIDENT: An accident was reported on Park Avenue on April 10 at approximately 3:10 p.m. There were no injuries.

WARRANT: Cindy L. Duncan, 49, of Piqua, was picked up on a warrant for second-degree misdemeanor attempt on Carr Street on April 10. She was taken to the Miami County Jail. Duncan was originally charged in June 2016. The alleged incident took place in October 2015 on the 1200 block of Garbry Road. Duncan posted surety bond and was released from jail on April 12.

PROBATION VIOLATION: Julio C. Deleon, III, 24, of Piqua, was charged with a first-degree misdemeanor probation/parole violation on April 10.
