PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
ACCIDENT: Officers responded to an accident with injury complaint in the area of McKinley and Covington avenues on April 1 at approximately 1 a.m. Two vehicles were reportedly involved in the accident. The at-fault driver was arrested for OVI.
There was an accident on East Ash Street near Taco Bell on April 1 at approximately 3 p.m. No injuries were reported.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance on South Wayne Street on April 1 at 4:45 a.m.
There was a report of a disturbance on Clark Avenue on April 1 at 8:45 p.m. Two people were reportedly arrested for domestic violence, and a juvenile was reportedly charged with being unruly.
There was a report of a physical disturbance at Z’s Food and Spirits on North Wayne Street on April 2 at 2:15 a.m. The suspect was warned for disorderly conduct, and the crowd dispersed.
THEFT: A male subject reportedly stolen $475.43 and a three pack of lighters from Walmart on April 1 at approximately 3:40 p.m. This investigation is pending.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: A hit skip accident was reported on April 1 and reportedly occurred overnight between March 31 and April 1 on West Greene Street. The side door and rear view mirror of a vehicle were damaged.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: A male subject was reportedly unresponsive on the porch of a residence on East North Street on April 1 at 10:30 p.m. He was charged and transported to UVMC. Brandon M. Sano, 33, of Troy, was cited for minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
TRESPASSING: A subject was reportedly intoxicated and sleeping in the Post Office on North Wayne Street on April 2 at 5 a.m. He has been arrested for trespassing at the Post Office previously. He was arrested and transported to the Miami County Jail. Steven D. Jones, 47, of Troy, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespass in connection with this incident.
