PIQUA — Join the Upper Valley Career Center Early Childhood students for the “Hungry, Hungry Caterpillar” class from 6-7 p.m. Monday, April 3, at the YWCA Piqua.

The class is open to children 3 years old through kindergarten. YWCA membership is not required.

“Little ones in the class will learn the life cycle of the butterfly and enjoy fun art projects,” said Beth Royer-DeLong, YWCA program director. “Each child will receive their very own book on the caterpillar to take home, too.

“We have really enjoyed our partnership with the Upper Valley Career Center and this promises to be a very fun and special class for the kids.”

On Monday, April 10, kids in grades K-4 can have fun decorating their own cake Easter eggs from 6-7:30 p.m. at the YWCA.

Instructor Kelly Bornhorst will help participants ice and decorate their Easter eggs just in time to share at a family gathering.

Participants will also make a handmade basket to take home their Easter goodies. “This will be a fun, creative time for everyone,” Bornhorst said.

For more information or to register your child for either class, stop at the YWCA at 418 N. Wayne St. or call (937) 773-6626.
