PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of a person passed out in the back seat of a vehicle at CVS on North College Street on March 20 at 2 p.m. The man was found to be napping while waiting on his wife.

DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance on West High Street on March 20 at approximately 10:45 p.m. A woman was given a ride to a local hotel.

There was a report of subjects arguing in a building at the Bent Tree Apartments on Garbry Road on March 21 at approximately 4:20 p.m. Contact was made with subjects, and they stated it was just a verbal argument and nothing physical took place. A male subject was found to have an active warrant out for his arrest. Subject was arrested and incarcerated in the Miami County Jail.

There was a report of a disturbance on Park Avenue on March 21 at approximately 10:20 p.m

WARRANT: While assisting another officer on a traffic stop, a male subject was located standing outside a local bar on North Wayne Street with an active warrant out of Franklin County on March 20 at approximately 11:45 p.m. The man stated he knew about the warrant and advised it was for a parole violation. He stated he spoke with his parole officer over the weekend and they told him they would call our jail and tell them the warrant would be removed. Jail was contacted and confirmed this information. The man was released from the scene.

A woman with an active warrant was located at a residence on South Downing Street on March 22 at 12:30 p.m. The warrant was confirmed, but the jail would not take her and advised to issue a summons. The woman was issued a summons.

DRUG OFFENSE: There was a report of a complaint at the Piqua High School on March 21 at around 8:20 a.m.

FRAUD: Possible theft of money from a bank account was reported on Dover Avenue on March 21, but the theft reportedly occurred something between March 3-7. No known suspects at this time.

ACCIDENT: There was a two-vehicle crash reported in the area of Third and Staunton streets on March 21 at approximately 3:30 p.m. There were no injuries reported.

NEIGHBOR COMPLAINT: Subject had questions about neighbor putting trash in his yard. Officer drove by the location, and observed no trash in his yard on West North Street on March 21 at 4 p.m. Information will be forwarded to Code Enforcement.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS HARASSMENT: A subject reported receiving harassing phone calls from a suspect who was warned to not message her on March 21. The suspect reportedly admitted to having someone message her on his behalf. The suspect was warned for future phone harassment several times. The suspect was charged. This case is pending. Steven D. Butt, 26, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor telecommunications harassment in connection with this incident.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT: A complainant advised that two dogs were running loose and one attacked a cat on Wood Street on March 22 at around 12:30 a.m. The animal shelter was contacted and responded for cat. Dogs were eventually located, and the owner was charged.

ORDER VIOLATION: Mark C. Schutt, 53, of Piqua, was charged with violating a protection order, a first-degree misdemeanor, on Carol Drive on March 22 at approximately 8:10 a.m.

TRESPASSING: A man was found scrapping through trash was warned for trespassing on property on South Main Street on March 22 at 1 p.m.
