PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
SUSPICIOUS: An officer was dispatched to a suspicious complaint in reference to a male subject possibly touching himself sexually inside Cinemark Theatres on Garbry Road on March 10 at 8 p.m. The male subject denied such acts but agreed to leave the area.
There was a suspicious complaint in reference to a subject looking through windows at the Piqua Village Apartments on Covington Avenue on March 11 at 10:45 p.m. The area was checked, and there were no signs anyone had been outside the residence. The complainant was advised to call back if the subject returned.
An officer observed a vehicle in at Pitsenbarger Park and Sports Complex at closing time on March 11 at approximately 11 p.m. Subjects advised that they were playing Pokemon Go. They were advised of the park curfew. Subjects advised that they were done and left the area.
An officer was dispatched to a suspicious complaint at Z’s Food and Spirits on North Wayne Street in reference to a male subject waving a loaded firearm. The male suspect fled the scene and was unable to be located.
OBSTRUCTING: There was a report of a male subject at Z’s Food and Spirits on North Wayne Street on March 10 at 8 p.m. with an active felony warrant out of Franklin County. He took off running and was not located. Courtney L. Tilton, 22, of Piqua, was charged with obstructing official business in connection with this incident.
ANIMAL PROBLEM: There was a report of a barking dog in the area of Maryville Lane on March 10 at 9:20 p.m. Once on scene, an officer heard a dog in the back yard of the residence barking. The officer was unable to make contact with the resident. A barking dog violation door hanger was left at the residence for the dog owner.
ACCIDENT: There was a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on West High Street on March 10 at around 11 p.m. Once on scene, the subject advised everything was okay and refused any medical treatment. The subject advised they wished to have nothing further done.
There was a two-vehicle accident in the area of North Sunset Drive and West High Street on March 11 at around 12:10 p.m. No injuries were reported.
FOUND PROPERTY: A bicycle was found at the Shell station on South Street on March 11 at around 3:30 a.m.
FRAUD: A complainant was the victim of an extortion scheme on Facebook on March 11.
THEFT: There was a report of a theft at the Piqua Public Library on West High Street on March 11 at 4:40 p.m.
Medication was reported stolen on Parkridge Place on March 11 at around 7:30 p.m.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of a male subject under the influence acting erratically out front of a residence on South Main Street on March 11 at approximately 6:30 p.m. The male subject calmed down and returned inside.
