PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
THEFT: Walmart reported a theft on Aug. 10 at 10:55 a.m.
There was a gas drive off reported at the Marathon on Water Street on Aug. 10 at 2:30 p.m.
An SUV was reported stolen from the Paul Sherry Chrysler Dodge lot on N. County Road 25-A on Aug. 11. It was reportedly taken sometime overnight.
Someone reportedly tampered with a utility meter to a residence on the 400 block of Walnut Street, turning it back on after the city has disabled it. This was reported on Aug. 11 at 2:20 p.m.
A battery reportedly went missing from an air compressor at Midwest Maintenance on Fox Drive on Aug. 11.
A large box of personalized stationary items were reported stolen from the 300 block of E. Main Street on Aug. 11. It reportedly went missing between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 11.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS HARASSMENT: A male subject was reportedly calling and harassing a complainant at Hinkles Auto Service on Main Street. The report was made on Aug. 10 at noon.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: A passerby reported two intoxicated females walking in the area of the Piqua Senior Apartments on N. College Street on Aug. 10 at 3 p.m. The area was checked, and they were not located.
A reportedly intoxicated male was found knocking on the door of a residence on the 1400 block of Grant Street on Aug. 10 at 11:50 p.m. It was reportedly his father’s house, but he was advised that he was not wanted on the property.
LITTERING: A complainant stated that male threw trash out of a vehicle window in the area of S. College Street and Covington Avenue on Aug. 10 at 4:43 p.m. The area was checked, and there were no large amounts of trash found in the area.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A resident reported that someone had keyed his vehicle on the 700 block of N. Downing Street sometime between 10 p.m. on Aug. 9 and 7:25 p.m. on Aug. 10.
A fence on the 900 block of Linden Avenue was reportedly damaged in two separate locations. The damage was reported on Aug. 11.
A West Milton resident reported that someone drove by her in the area of E. Parkway and N. Sunset Drives and threw a cup containing rocks at her vehicle on Aug. 11 at 10:14 p.m. The windshield was reportedly damaged.
TRESPASSING: A resident at the Red Carpet Inn reported that her ex-boyfriend had come there and demanded that she sign the title of their truck over to him on Aug. 10 at 9:41 p.m. The resident refused to do so, and the male refused to leave. An officer advised male that he was trespassed from the property and that the issues over the title to the truck were a civil matter.
SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of an intoxicated male running down the street on the 400 block of McKinley Avenue on Aug. 10 at 10:26 p.m. Police checked the area and did not locate anyone fitting that description.
There was a report of gunshots fired in the area of the 700 block of Williard Street on Aug. 10 at 11:14 p.m. An officer checked the area and did not find anything suspicious. A caller stated that he had heard approximately seven gunshots coming from the area of Mote Park. An officer checked the area and did not find anything of note.
BURGLARY: Bennet Intermediate School at 625 S. Main St. was found broken into on Aug. 11 at 6:50 a.m. Several items were reported stolen.
DISTURBANCE: A 15-year-old reportedly struck her mother twice on the 500 block of Garnsey Street on Aug. 11 at 10:14 a.m. The daughter was arrested for domestic violence and released back to her mother.
There was a report of a domestic dispute on the 100 block of E. North Street on Aug. 11 at 3:30 p.m. There were no threats or acts of violence.
ANIMAL ABUSE: A complainant reportedly witnessed a male juvenile “kick a dog and throw a chair at it” outside of Beppo Uno on W. Water Street on Aug. 11 at 1 p.m. The juvenile was warned for cruelty to animals.
MENACING: A male reportedly threatened to return with a gun to a residence on the 400 block of S. Downing Street after a verbal dispute on Aug. 11 at 8:48 p.m.
There was a report of a male “shouting and pushing subjects at a residence over money owed” at the Flesh Building located on the 100 block of W. Greene Street on Aug. 11 at 9:43 p.m. The male was warned for disorderly conduct and trespassed from the residence.
SEX OFFENSE: A female claimed that she had been forcibly raped by a male at a residence on the 1100 block of W. High Street on Aug. 11.
