MIAMI COUNTY — Careflight was called Friday evening to Bradford where a woman from Indiana was reportedly injured in a wreck.

A Dodge Ram truck and a white Chevrolet van were both traveling east on U.S. Route 36 at approximately 6 p.m. When one went to turn north onto Ohio 721 into Bradford, the truck reportedly rear-ended the van, according to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

There were six occupants in the white van, some of whom were Amish workers from Indiana, including the victim. The victim is a woman in her 20’s with a possible leg injury. She was believed to have possibly broken her leg in the crash, which was why she was taken by Careflight from the scene.

Another occupant was also possibly transported to the Upper Valley Medical Center for observation.

There were no life-threatening injuries reported. Speed and alcohol were not believed to be factors in this accident. The driver of the truck is expected to be cited for an assured cleared distance violation.
