PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
MISCHIEF: There was a report of two juveniles placing undergarments on the victim’s handrail on Feb. 24 at approximately 8:30 a.m. The complainant was advised a report would be done to document the incident.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: There was a report of a subject that struck the complainant’s fence on Feb. 24 at approximately 11:50 a.m. Once an officer was on scene, the subject wished to have the incident reported even though no damage was done.
Complainant advised that his rear window on his pick-up truck was busted sometime during the evening on Feb. 24.
SUSPICIOUS: There was a refused caller complaint of a subject being disorderly while in the drive-thru at McDonald’s on Covington Avenue on Feb. 24 at approximately 10:30 p.m. Officers responded and upon arrival, the vehicle had left the area.
TRAFFIC STOP: A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle that pulled out of a bowling alley parking lot and almost struck a cruiser in the area of North Main Street and Riverside Drive on Feb. 24 at 11:40 p.m. The driver was found to be driving under suspension and cited for it. The driver was given a warning reference to failing to yield to right away.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of two subjects arguing on South Sunset Drive on Feb. 25 at approximately 12:20 a.m. Both claimed no violence or threat of violence. Both stated they would not be leaving and there would be no further problems.
UNRULY JUVENILE: An officer found two juvenile females out walking past the juvenile curfew while the officer was on patrol in the area of Washington and Park avenues on Feb. 25 at approximately 1:20 a.m. The officer contacted their parents and transported the juveniles to their parents.
ASSIST SQUAD: There was a report of a man passed out in a vehicle on South Street near the Shell station on Feb. 25 at 4:30 a.m. On officer arrival, the car was running and in drive and the driver was unresponsive. He was transported to UVMC by squad. Subject was found to have drugs in his possession as well and was charged with drug possession. Charges for OVI are pending lab results. Zakkary J. Collins, 21, of Covington, was charged with drug possession in connection with this incident.
ACCIDENT: An officer was dispatched to a traffic accident related to a possible OVI on Wood Street on Feb. 25 at approximately 12:45 p.m. The driver was cited for the accident and arrested for OVI. Robert Case, 45, of Sidney, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI in connection with this incident.
BURGLARY: There was a report of a theft of items from a detached and unsecured garage on Second Street on Feb. 25 at approximately 1:50 p.m.
ANIMAL COMPLAINT: An officer responded to a report of two dogs running at large and running aggressively toward children on South Main Street on Feb. 25 at approximately 4:30 p.m. Samantha N. Dowell, 35, of Piqua was cited for dogs running at large and registration required.
WARRANT: A man with a warrant was located on Boone Street on Feb. 25 at 4:45 p.m, and the warrant was confirmed out of Darke County. The man was transported and turned over to Darke County.
