PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS HARASSMENT: A caller reported receiving phone calls and messages from a woman who has already been warned for telecommunication harassment by officers. The suspect was contacted and charged accordingly on Feb. 23. Victoria L. Labanc, 24, of Warren, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor telecommunications harassment in connection with this incident.
Dispatch advised that a female wanted to make a telecommunications harassment complaint on Feb 23. A subject advised that she had received threatening messages from known individuals and wanted the messages to stop.
SUSPICIOUS: Several juveniles reported a suspicious male walking down the sidewalk on Young Street with a knife on Feb. 23 at approximately 3:20 p.m. An officer was made contact with the man and the juveniles. No threats of violence were reported.
TRESPASSING COMPLAINT: A subject reported several juveniles in front of her residence on South Main Street on Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. The subject wanted the juveniles warned for trespassing. The juveniles were located and were warned.
A man was warned for trespassing at a residence on West Water Street on Feb. 23 at 11:50 p.m.
ACCIDENT: There was a report of a hit-skip accident and a trespassing complaint on West High Street on Feb. 23 at around 6:20 p.m. A driver was cited for a hit-skip accident and warned for trespassing.
There was a report of an accident with no injuries in the area of Drexel Avenue and Broadway Drive on Feb .24 at 7:40 a.m. The at-fault driver was cited for assured cleared distance ahead.
FOUND PROPERTY: A complainant said she found a bag of electronics at her residence on Cherry Street on Feb. 23, and she thought it possibly stolen. Items have been entered into found property for safe storage.
A bicycle was found on West High Street near Family Dollar on Feb. 24 at 8:25 a.m.
WARRANT: Officers located a man who had a warrant for his arrest while investigating another complaint on McKinley Avenue on Feb. 24 at approximately 1 a.m. The man was arrested and transported to Miami County Jail.
