PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
DISTURBANCE: An officer responded to an assault complaint on Covington Avenue on Feb. 17 at 12:25 p.m.
A disturbance was reported on North College Street on Feb. 17 at 7:20 p.m. The primary aggressor was unable to be determined, and they agreed to calm down for the night.
ACCIDENT: A traffic crash was reported on McKinley Avenue on Feb. 17 at approximately 12:30 p.m. A city-owned vehicle reportedly crashed into a parked car. Minor damage was done, and no injuries were reported. Photos and witness statements were taken and will be placed with the case file. The driver was cited accordingly.
A car reportedly struck the rear end of a pickup truck at Burger King on Covington Avenue on Feb. 17 at around 1:15 p.m. The driver of the car was cited for assured cleared distance ahead.
There was a two-vehicle accident reported in the area of Caldwell and West Greene streets on Feb. 17 at around 2:10 p.m.
There was a two-vehicle accident reported in the area of East Ash and North Main streets on Feb. 17 at around 4 p.m.
THEFT: A theft of utilities was reported on West High Street on Feb. 17 at around 4 p.m. The electricity to a residence had been shut off and is now back on.
TRESPASSING: A neighbor was warned for trespassing on West High Street on Feb. 17 at 4:30 p.m. According to police reports, this followed a disagreement about trash blowing into each of the neighbors’ yards.
HIT SKIP: There was a hit skip accident of an unattended parked car on Kitt Street on Feb. 17 at 5:40 p.m. No suspect vehicle information was known.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Officers responded with the medics on a call on Caldwell Street on Feb. 17 at around 8:20 p.m. No police assistance was needed, and the patient was transported to the hospital.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Billy J. Keith, 35, of Minster, was charged with second-degree misdemeanor criminal damaging in connection with an incident reported on Summit Street on Feb. 17 at 9 p.m.
