PIQUA – A motorcyclist was injured when the driver crashed at the intersection of County Road 25A and the I-75 interchange at Farrington on Friday evening.

According to deputies, the motorcyclist was exiting northbound I-75 and attempting to turn north on 25A at a speed that was apparently too high for road conditions when he lost control and crashed.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center for treatment by Piqua Fire Department medics. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The crash is under investigation by Miami County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Traffic at the interchange was backed up briefly until deputies could clear the crash scene.
