PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports and Miami County Municipal Court records.
BURGLARY: There was a report of a garage on First Street being broken into overnight between Oct. 4-5. A pressure washer was reported stolen.
A shed was reportedly broken into on Robinson Avenue overnight between Oct. 4-5. Items were reported taken.
A garage was reportedly broken into on Second Street sometime overnight between Oct. 5-6. Tools were reported stolen.
THEFT: A saw was reported stolen from a shed on West North Street sometime on Oct. 5 between 11 a.m. and 3:22 p.m.
Money was reported stolen on Kienle Drive on Oct. 5 between 11 a.m. and 7:48 p.m.
A bicycle was reported stolen from a residence on Wood Street on Oct. 5 between 7-8:22 p.m.
A vehicle in an impound lot on South Roosevelt Avenue was damaged overnight between Oct. 5-6.
A weed eater was reported stolen from a porch on Third Street. The report was made on Oct. 6, and it was noted that the weed eater could have been taken sometime in the week prior to then.
A bicycle was reported stolen from a back yard on West High Street on Oct. 6 at 8:45 p.m.
IDENTITY THEFT: On Oct. 5, a subject reported receiving a letter saying that she had been declined for a credit car but she had never applied for a credit card.
SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of people attempting to gain access to a fenced-in parking lot on South Roosevelt Avenue on Oct. 5 at around 6 p.m. The people fled from the scene in a vehicle. They were not located.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of a man sitting on the sidewalk with blood on his head in the area of West Greene and Walker streets on Oct. 6 at 11:30 a.m. He reportedly had a seizure and fell. According to police reports, he also admitted to taking pills earlier. He was treated by the squad at the scene, cited for disorderly conduct, and given a ride home. Jefferson L. Dotson, 23, of Piqua, was cited for minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
A reportedly intoxicated man was arrested for disorderly conduct on Cleveland Street on Oct. 6 at 11:44 p.m. Steven D. Jones, 46, of Troy, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
TRESPASSING COMPLAINT: Two teenagers reportedly jumped the fence into the playground area at Piqua Central Intermediate School on Oct. 6 at 7:42 p.m.
ASSIST FIRE DEPARTMENT: An officer responded with the fire department to a small grease fire in an apartment on McKinley Avenue on Oct. 6 at 8:30 p.m.
