PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided to Piqua police reports and Miami County Municipal Court records.
THEFT: There was a report of power being used at a residence on East Main Street on Sept. 28 after the power had been shut off.
TRESPASSING: There was a report of a disturbance including two men and one woman refusing to leave La Quinta Inn on Sept. 28 at 9:24 p.m. They were trespassed from the business.
ACCIDENT: An intoxicated driver reportedly struck two vehicles and drove through a yard on Brook Street on Sept. 28 at around 11 p.m. Kenneth H. Lockwood, 36, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI in connection with this incident. A small amount of suspected marijuana was also collected from the scene.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Unknown subjects were seen spray-painting a business building on South College Street on Sept. 29 at 9 a.m.
Symbols were painted on a resident’s garage on West Ash Street on Sept. 29 sometime between midnight and 10 a.m.
FOUND PROPERTY: A bicycle was found on the bike path in the area of Covington Avenue and South Sunset Drive on Sept. 29.
MISDEMEANOR ASSAULT: There was a report of an assault that occurred at Piqua Central Intermediate School after hours on Sept. 29 at 7:22 p.m. According to police reports, the case is being forwarded to the juvenile prosecutor for determination of charges due to the suspect’s age.
MENACING: A victim said that a man threatened to harm his property on South Wayne Street on Sept. 29 at around 10 p.m.
DRUG OFFENSE: A male juvenile offender, 17, was cited for minor misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, on Sept. 28.
