PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports and court records.
FELONIOUS ASSAULT: Joshua T. Lee, 35, of Piqua, was charged with second-degree felonious assault and first-degree misdemeanor aggravated menacing on June 19 in connection with a report of male subject being assaulted by another male subject at a bar in the area of East Ash and North Main streets on June 19. A warrant for Lee’s arrest was issued on June 28.
FOUND PROPERTY: A bicycle was found on Covington Avenue on June 24 at 7:30 a.m.
An abandoned bicycle was found on South Downing Street on June 24 at 8:11 a.m.
A resident found power tools on her property on Cherry Street that did not belong to her on June 25 at 5:37 p.m.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A vehicle was broken into on South Roosevelt Avenue sometime between June 21-24. The owner did not know if anything was missing but stated that the vehicle was damaged.
WARRANT: A female subject was picked up on a warrant at a residence on East Main Street on June 24 at 7:30 p.m. Jessica L. Bever, 30, was charged with a first-degree misdemeanor probation violation in connection with this incident. Teresa Moore, 55, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor obstructing justice in connection with this incident.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: An officer witnessed a female subject yelling at a male subject on Wood Street on June 24 at 11:26 p.m. The female subject was reportedly being loud and shouting profanities. She was warned for disorderly conduct.
ASSAULT: A complainant reported being assaulted at Speedway on Covington Avenue on June 25 at 8 a.m. The suspect reportedly admitted to hitting the victim. Damien L. Hall, 38, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor assault in connection with this incident.
A caller reported that he was assaulted at a business on West Water Street by an unknown male subject on June 25 at 6:46 p.m. The suspect left the scene but the caller had a license plate number. An officer then made contact with the suspect. Trae D. Lee, 21, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor assault in connection with this incident.
TRESPASSING: A male subject was reportedly found to be fishing on private property he did not have permission to be fishing at on White Tail Lane on June 25 at 8:33 a.m.
THEFT: A male subject was reportedly caught taking items at Walmart on June 25 at 3 p.m. Steven A. Downing II, 29, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft and fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespassing in connection with this incident.
An unknown suspect reportedly stole three televisions from Walmart without paying for them on June 25 at 4:19 p.m.
A juvenile was reportedly caught shoplifting from Claire’s on June 25 at 7 p.m. The juvenile was charged with theft and released to a parent.
