PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
ACCIDENT: There was a report of a traffic accident in the area of Blackwell and N. Sunset drives on April 30 at noon. A dog was reportedly struck by a vehicle.
There was a report of a traffic accident on Covington Avenue on April 30 at 2:30 p.m.
There was a report of a traffic accident with an injury in the area of E. Ash and N. Main streets on May 1 at 12:46 p.m.
THEFT: A complainant reported on April 30 that a blue or black transport chair had been taken sometime over the previous two days. It was reportedly taken from somewhere on Covington Avenue.
A tailgate from a truck was reportedly stolen on W. Water Street on April 30 between 8:15-8:30 p.m. The victim was reportedly inside a store during the time of the theft.
A complainant reported that several subjects left a business on E. Ash Street without paying for items on May 1 at 1:15 a.m.
There was a report of a lawn mower and a gas can being stolen from a garage on Boone Street sometime between April 27 and May 1.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: A vehicle reportedly struck a parked car on Orr Street and fled the area on April 30 at 2:36 p.m.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of a male subject and female subject arguing on Park Avenue on April 30 at 3:48 p.m. The female subject was warned for disorderly conduct.
There was a report of a disorderly subject in a business on South Street, allegedly causing problems with customers, on April 30 at 9:08 p.m. The subject left the business on foot.
CITIZEN ASSIST: A subject “found unknown pills in an unmarked pill bottle” on N. Main Street on April 30 at 5:18 p.m., according to police reports. The owner was unknown. The pills were placed in a pill drop box.
A resident found a used capped syringe on at a residence in East Street on May 1 at 11:18 a.m. The syringe was destroyed.
SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of a female subject “looking into and messing around a vacant building” on S. Wayne Street on April 30 at 9 p.m., according to police reports. The female subject was not located. The building was secure.
There was a report of two male subjects walking down the roadway on Park Avenue with a rifle on May 1 at 11 a.m. It was found to be a BB gun.
A female subject stated that she was picked up by a male subject on Scott Drive on May 2 at 2:51 a.m. and she “had to expose herself in order to be let out of the vehicle,” according to police reports.
FIREWORKS COMPLAINT: There was a report of fireworks in the area of Chevy Lane on April 30 at 11:42 p.m. Another unit advised that the fireworks were reportedly coming from the county.
ASSAULT: A subject reported being assaulted at a bar on N. Main Street on May 1 at 12:32 a.m.
TRESPASSING: There was a report of a neighbor looking into a bedroom window in a residence on S. Main Street on May 1 at 10:40 p.m. The complainant asked the neighbor to be trespassed. The neighbor was reportedly warned.
